Le 7 octobre 1896, le jeune tsar Nicolas II, accompagné de l'Impératrice de Russie, du Président Félix Faure posa la première pierre du  pont qui évoquera son père Alexandre III.

Together, The young Tsar Nicholas the Second, accompanied by the Empress of Russia and the President Falix Faure laid the first stone on the 7^th of October 1896 of the bridge, which would later evoke his father Alexander the Third.
